  • The 100 Drum Wangala Festival is staged in the 2nd week of November every year in the state of Meghalaya. It is traditionally practiced by group of Garos. It is the Meghalaya’s annual harvest festival and is observed in the honor of Misi Saljong, The Great Giver. Wangala Festival ensembles the starting of winter and also signifies the closing of labor in fields thus giving time to relax and merry making.
